Cal.com booking connected to the Voco dashboard

Cal.com integration: phone bookings that respect your live availability

Connect Cal.com and Voco checks your real-time availability, booking straight into your calendar while the caller is still on the phone. Available on Professional and Business plans.

Cal.com is where more businesses now run their public booking pages. Voco connects directly to it, so a phone call gets the same real-time availability your online booking page already shows.

How it works

You connect Cal.com from your dashboard: Settings, then Calendar, then Connect Cal.com. Paste in an API key, and you're done. No redirect flow, no support ticket.

When someone calls, Voco checks your Cal.com event type's real availability, not a generic set of business hours, and books the slot before the call ends. If someone else takes that same slot at the same moment, Voco tells the caller honestly that the slot has gone and offers the next available time instead of double booking.

What decides the appointment length

The event type you've set up in Cal.com. A 15 minute event type produces 15 minute slots. Voco doesn't apply its own default length on top of it.

One limit worth knowing

If you have multiple event types connected, calls are booked into whichever one is set as primary in your dashboard. Voco doesn't yet choose between them based on what the caller says they need, so keep your primary event type set to the one you want phone bookings to land in.

Frequently asked questions

Cal.com is a scheduling platform many service businesses use to run their online booking pages.

It connects your Cal.com account to your AI receptionist, so a phone caller can be booked into your real calendar, using your real availability, during the call.

Directly from your Cal.com event type: its schedule, its length, and any bookings already on it.

The length set on your Cal.com event type, not a fixed Voco default.

Whichever booking reaches Cal.com first gets it. If a caller asks for a slot that's just been taken, Voco tells them honestly and offers the next available time.

It is included on all plans

All of them can be connected, but phone bookings go into whichever one you've set as primary in your dashboard.

Voco checks the connection regularly and tells you if it fails. If Cal.com itself is briefly unreachable, Voco stays quiet rather than wrongly telling you the integration is broken.

A few minutes. Paste your API key in and you're connected.
